Our Home Grown Tasting attendees are in for a real treat! Rebecca Barron, Executive Chef at St. John's Restaurant, will be giving a food demonstration to show an interesting way to prepare fresh produce. Produce used in the demonstration will be locally sourced and provided by the Harvested Here Food Hub. Attendees will also hear how the Chattanooga Area Food Bank and Harvested Here Food Hub work together and learn about the Food Hub's progress with local growers and restaurants over the last year. Following the demonstration, attendees will be provided wine and food samples from the demonstration. When: September 17

Time: 5:30-7:00pm

For our Home Grown Tasting events, we ask a local chef to create a recipe centered around fresh produce.  At the event, hosted in our lovely garden pavilion, the chef demonstrates how to prepare the dish with produce locally sourced by the Harvested Here Food Hub. Attendees receive wine and a sample plate of the prepared dish.

At our September Home Grown Tasting, we will also share our Hunger Action Month calendar and materials with you and will tell you a little more about local hunger and the work we are doing to end it.
